SOLUTION
The poem ‘Money’ is written by William H. Davies. It is a reflective poem that deals with the poet’s status as both, a rich and a poor man. Based on his own narrative, the poet has depicted a connection between money and personal happiness. The theme of the poem is the inverse relationship between money and happiness since the poet had many false friends during his times of richness, and much fewer but real friends when he has become poor. The poem has been written in five stanzas of four lines each and follows a different rhyme scheme for each stanza

The poet has beautified the poem by employing numerous figures of speech such as Alliteration, Antithesis, Consonance, Exclamation, Inversion, Onomatopoeia, Metaphor, Metonymy, Simile, and Repetition. An example of Onomatopoeia from the poem is “And how their wives do hum like bees” where the word ‘hum’ denotes the sound made by the wives as they constantly talk about their husbands working from morning till night.

Among the special features of the poem, imagery and enjambment are more prominent. The use of imagery can be seen in the phrases “came knocking all day at my door”, “...a child that holds a trumpet that he must not blow”, “...and seen how poor men’s hearts are light”, “wives hum like bees”, “hear poor ones laugh”, “see rich ones narrative style to convey his thoughts.

Through this poem, the poet is trying to spread the message that wealth is not required to be truly happy. In fact, happiness lies in having genuine people in life, which makes the poor man truly wealthy; as he might not have monetary wealth or a lot of people in his life, but the ones he does have are true to him, thus making him wealthy in the true sense.

In my opinion, the poem aptly describes the allure of money, which often draws a lot of fake people in one’s life. It is only when one is poor does one realize the meaning of true happiness, because that is when one finds out who actually are his/her real friends.

‘Money’ is a reflective poem written by W.H. Davies. He was a Welsh poet, known as the ‘Tramp poet’.  Through this poem, the Poet has showcased his self-experienced philosophy about money and personal happiness.

The poem consists of five stanzas of four lines each. It has a simple narrative style. Alliteration, Antithesis, Inversion, Simile, Onomatopoeia and Repetition are the figure of speech used in this poem. The poet has made use of vivid imagery. For example, ‘wives hum, like bees’ or ‘came knocking all day at my door’ and ‘Then felt I like a child that holds / A trumpet that he must not blow’, these lines effectively present the visuals. The rhyme scheme of the first four stanzas is abcb and of the last stanza is abab.

The theme of the poem is the dual aspect of money. A rich man has many false friends and he lacks true happiness. Whereas a poor man has few friends who are true and real. Thus, he is enriched with goodness and happiness.

The message of the poem is that to experience true joy and happiness one need not be rich and wealthy. It is not necessary for the poor to become rich as necessary it is for the rich to become poor. One can actually enjoy true happiness when one becomes poor.

I like this poem because it reveals the real worth of money. It also clarifies the false and fake beliefs about the rich and the poor. Understanding the real worth of people, true happiness and value of money in an early age is actually a blessing. This poem  certainly teaches a valuable life-lesson to all.

Money' is an intelligent poem composed by W.H. Davies. He was a Welsh artist, known as the 'Vagrant artist'. Through this poem, the Poet has displayed his self-experienced way of thinking about Money and individual bliss.

The poem consists of five stanzas of four lines each. It has a basic account style. Similar sounding word usage, Antithesis, Inversion, Simile, Onomatopoeia and Repetition are the hyperbole utilized in this poem. The writer has utilized striking symbolism.

For instance, 'spouses murmur, similar to honey bees' or 'came thumping throughout the day at my entryway' and afterward 'felt I like a kid that holds/A trumpet that he should not blow', these lines adequately present the visuals. The rhyme plan of the initial four verses is abcb and of the last refrain is abab

The theme of the poem
is the double part of Money. A rich man has numerous bogus companions and he needs obvious bliss. Though a helpless man has not many companions who are valid and genuine. Subsequently, he is advanced with goodness and satisfaction.

The message of the poem
 is that to encounter genuine bliss and joy one need not be rich and well off. It isn't required for the poor to get rich as vital it is for the rich to get poor. One can really appreciate genuine joy when one gets poor.

I like this poem
since it uncovers the genuine worth of Money. It additionally explains the bogus and phony convictions about the rich and poor people. Understanding the genuine worth of individuals, genuine joy and worth of Money in an early age is really a gift. This poem surely shows a significant life-exercise to all.

When I had money, money, O!
I knew no joy till I went poor;
For many a false man as a friend
Came knocking all day at my door.

Then felt I like a child that holds
A trumpet that he must not blow
Because a man is dead; I dared
Not speak to let this false world know.

Much have I thought of life, and seen
How poor men’s hearts are ever light;
And how their wives do hum like bees
About their work from morn till night.

So, when I hear these poor ones laugh,
And see the rich ones coldly frown
Poor men, think I, need not go up
So much as rich men should come down.

When I had money, money, O!
My many friends proved all untrue;
But now I have no money, O!
My friends are real, though very few.
